ElementAgri was founded in 2025 by Charlie Thurgate, a second generation farmer from Tamworth NSW. Charlie has always taken an experimental and intuitive approach to farming, testing new fertilisers, livestock health remedies and grazing methods in search of better outcomes for his animals, land and profitability.

This curiosity led to the discovery of SEA-90 ocean minerals.

In 2023, when Charlie took on new cattle country that had been heavily degraded by years of over fertilisation and poor grazing management, he knew that to avoid unhealthy livestock he needed to start with minerals, the foundation of life.

After hearing US based bovine geneticist Steve Campbell and holistic veterinary Will Winter discuss the importance of quality, origin and testing of livestock minerals, Charlie realised most avaliable options were far from ideal. Many products were bulked out with iodised salt, dry molasses and only small amounts of minerals, with no testing to show the absence of heavy metals that do more harm than good.

Initial trials showed not only healthier livestock but rapid improvements in feed utilisation and quality of manure the livestock were depositing. Livestock also showed improved fertility, health and performance, a direct reflection of better nutrition and mineral balance in the pastures.

Charlie also learnt SEA-90 ocean minerals place in soil health and fertility, when spread from 50-150 kg per hectare (100kg/HA the common rate) SEA90 charges the soil biome, assisting to rebalance soil chemistry, increase soil fertility and stimulate biology. SEA-90 is also effective in increasing synthetic fertiliser efficiency with trial data to show!

As a foliar with rates as little as 1 kg per hectare, it consistently lifted plant brix by five to six points.

Within two years, SEA90 has became an essential part of operations at Kamilaroi Cattle Company, the beef enterprise Charlie manages along with his partner Valentina, used as a livestock mineral, a broadcast fertiliser and a foliar. The results speak for themselves, right down to the flavour of the beef.

By 2025, the opportunity arose for Charlie to take SEA90 further. Element Agri Pty Ltd became the exclusive importer and distributor for Australia and New Zealand, built on the simple goal of bringing cost effective, farmer-tested input solutions to both Australian and New Zealand agriculture.

While every farm and region is unique, the results so far have been consistent: healthier soils, healthier livestock, improved fertility and stronger returns for farmers.
